I f the wat er pipes are new or have no t been use d f or an extended pe riod of ti me , let the
w ate r run to make sure that the water is clear. Thi s p recauti on is need ed to avoid th e
r isk of the w ater in let to be blocked an d d amage the a pplian ce.
Th e wa ter s uppl y to the app lianc e ca n a lso be connec ted to the house hold hot water
line (su ch a s, cent ra l system, heatin g s ystem ),as lon g as i t does not exceed a
temper ature of 60 C. In this case , the wa sh c ycle time will be short ene d by abo ut 15
minutes and the wash efficiency slightly reduced.
Th e co nnec tion must be ma de to the hot wate r lin e f ollowi ng the same procedu res as
described in the section for the c onnection to the cold water line.
Insert the drai n ho se into a dra in pi pe with a minimu m di ame ter o f 4 c m, o r let it run into the s ink , making sur e to
avoid bending or crimping. Use the special plastic support that comes with the appliance. The free end of thehose
must be at a heigh t be tween 40 and 100 cm and mus t not be im me rsed in w ate r.

Improper connection of the equip ment earthing con ductor can result in the risk of an electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or service representati ve if you are in doubt w hether the
appliance is properly earthed.
Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. If the plug does not fit properly to the outlet,
please have a qualified e lectrician to install a proper outlet.
In or der to avoid that there is m ore water staying in the inlet hose, please close
the hydrant after using.(Not applicable to appliances without aqua-stop.)
