STORING FROZEN FOOD
The freezer sectron IS designed for storage of com-
mercrclly frozen foods and for freezrng foods at
home

IMPORTANT: Do not expect your freezer to quick-
freeze any large quantity of food. leave enough
space for air to circulate around packages. Be
careful to leave enough room at the front so the
door can close tightly.

Frozen Meats The followrng hints will help

1. Freeze meat while fresh and in top condrtron

Short vacations.. .
No need to shut off the refrigerator if you WIII be
away for less than four weeks. Use up the perrsh-
ables, freeze other Items Turn off your Ice maker,
shut
off
the water supply. empty the ice brn and
make sure all Ice cubes are dispensed out of the
mechonrsm
Long vacations. . .
Remove all the fo& if you are gorng for a month
o( more At least a day ahead, turn off the water
supply to the ice maker. When the lost load of Ice
drops, turn off the Ice maker.
Unplug the refrigerator and clean rt rrnse well
and dry Tape rubber or wood blocks to both doors
keeping them open far enough for arr to get rn
This WIII keep cdoc and mold from burldrng up

the refrigerator when the doors are
blocked open. They may become
injured or trapped.

Moving...
Shut off the Ice maker water supply a day ahead
of trme. Disconnect the water line After the last sup-
ply of Ice drops, turn off the ice maker
Remove all food Pack frozen foods In dry ice Un-
plug the refrigerator and clean it thoroughly.
Remove everything that comes out. Wrap all parts
well and tape them together so they don’t shift and
rattle
Screw in the levellrng legs, tape the doors shut, tape
the electric cord to the cabrnet When you get to your
new home, put everything back; reconnect the water
