a. Use this unitonlyin the mannerintendedby the manufacturer, If you have questions, contact the manufacturer.
b. Before servicing or cleaning unit,switch powero at service panel and lock the service disconnectingmeans to preventpower from being
switched on accidentally.
When the service disconnectingmeans cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominentwarningdevice, such as tag, to the service panel.

a. Never leave surface units unattendedat high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.Heat oils slowly on low
or mediumsettings.
b. Always turn hoodON whencooking at high heat or when cooking ambeingfood (i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn
Beef Flambe)
c. Clean ventilatingfans frequently. Grease should not be allowedto accumulate on fan or lter.
d. Use properpan size. Always use cookware appropriatefor the size of the surface element.

b. NEVER PIC K UP A FLAMING PAN - You may be burned.
c. DO NOT USE WATER, includingwet dishcloths or towels - a violentsteam explosion willresult.
d. Use an extinguisherONLY if:
1. You know youhave a class ABC extinguisher, and you already knowhow to operate it.
2. The re is small and containedin the area where it started.
3. The re departmentis being called.
4. You can ght the re withyourback to an exit.
5. Based on “Kitchen Fire Safety Tips” publishedbyNFPA.

b. Sucient air is needed for proper combustionand exhausting of gases throughthe ue (chimney)of fuel burningequipmentto preventback
drafting.Followthe heatingequipmentmanufacturer’s guidelineand safety standards such as those publishedbythe National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air ConditioningEngineers (ASHRAE) and the local code authorities.
c. When cuttingor drillingintowall or ceiling,do not damage electrical wiringand otherhiddenutilities.
d. Ducted fans must always ventto the outdoors.
