Enhanced Mode
Increases the resolution of the grid for downloaded characters. The
HP-GL UC (User-defined Character) command allows you to down-
load and draw characters using an encoding scheme consisting of
sequences of pen control movements and coordinate sequences.
The characters are drawn on a grid that is superimposed on the char-
acter plot cell.
Expand Mode
Defines a larger imageable area which affects the default placement
of the scaling points P1 and P2.

Choices
On—Standard resolution for fixed- and variable-
spaced fonts (4x8 grid).
Off—Enhanced resolution for variable-spaced fonts
(26x36 grid).
