Switching applications during an active call
You can use many other applications on your smartphone while holding a phone conversation,
including the organizer and text messaging features. You cannot, however, make a data
connection while on an active call. This means that you also cannot browse the web or send and
receive email or multimedia messages while on an active call.
1. Go to Applications .
2. Select the icon for the application you want to open.
3. Complete the task in the application.
4. Press Phone to return to the Active Call View.
NOTE If you’d like to continue talking while viewing another application, select Spkr-phone before you switch to the other
application. If you’re using a headset, you can skip this step.
Saving phone numbers
After you complete an outgoing call to a number that is not in your
Contacts list, you are prompted to add the number to your Contacts list.
You are also prompted to add new numbers from incoming calls with
caller ID.
■ To create a new contact entry for this number, select Create a New
Contact and enter the contact’s info.
■ To add this number to an existing contact entry, select Add to a
Contact, and then select the contact. The number will be pasted into
the first available phone number field for that contact.
