IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before operating this appliance for the first time, read all instructions.
Failure to observe the instructions and safety notes may result in hazardous
conditions.
After unpacking the appliance, check it for damage.
If in doubt, do not use it, contact your dealer.
Keep the packaging materials (cardboard, plastic bags etc.) out of reach of
children (danger of suffocation or injury).
This appliance is designed for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
The manufacturer rejects any liability for damage or injury caused by improper
or unreasonable use. Do not use appliance for other then intended use.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children
or not familiar persons. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
This machine is designed as a coffee maker.
Do not use for other products such as cocoa powder or tea, as these could
block the filter holes.
Never operate the appliance without water and ground coffee.
To fill the water container, remove it from the base station and do not fill
it above the MAX. mark (on the inside of the water container).
Only use the appliance together with the base station supplied.
To use the appliance, it must be plugged into a power point.
Never use the appliance on a hot surface.
Ensure that the mains cable does not come into contact with any metal part
of the electric coffee maker during operation.
Never touch the appliance with damp or wet hands.
Do not touch the mains cable or plug with wet hands.
Always unplug the appliance by holding the plug, not the cord.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
Be careful not to scald yourself with escaping steam or hot water splashing
out, due to unproper use. Do not open the lid while coffee is brewing.
Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
The water container and the top of the appliance become very hot during
operation; avoid touching them.
If the upper body contains brewed coffee, it must not be unscrewed.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
Turn the appliance off before removing it from the base.
Allow the appliance to cool down before preparing coffee again.
If liquids or foreign objects come into contact with the base or the bottom
of the water container, immediately unplug the appliance from the
electricity supply.
The use of accessory attachements not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
