Whencookingfood for thefirst time in yournew
oven,usetimegivenon recipesas a guide.Oven
thermostats,over a periodof years,may “drift”from
the factorysettingandthedifferencesin timing
betweenanold and a new ovenof 5 to 10minutesare
notunusual.Yourovenhasbeen set correctlyat the
factoryandis more likelyto be accuratethanthe oven
whichit replaced.
If youthinktheoven shouldbehotteror cooler,you
can adjustit yourself.Todecidehow muchto change
the temperature,set theoventemperature25°F.higher
or lowerthanthe temperaturein yourrecipe,then
bake.Theresultsof this “test”shouldgiveyou an
ideaof howmuch the temperatureshouldbe changed.
ToAdjustTemperature:
1. PressBAKEpad.
20Selectan oventemperaturebetween500°F.
and550°F.
3. Immediately,beforeBAKEindicatorstops
flashing,pressandhold theBAKEpad for about4
seconds.Thered displaywillchangeto the oven
adjustmentdisp~ay.
4. Theoven temperaturecan be adjustedup to
(+) 35°F.hotteror (-) 35°F.cooler.Use the
INCREASEor DECREASEpadsto selectthedesired
changein the red display.
5. Whenyou havemadethe adjustment,pressthe
CLEAR/OFFpad to go back to the timeof day
display.Use yourovenas you wouldnormally.
