Usingthe oven.
Toavoid possible bums, place the shelves in the desired position before you turn the oven on.
Before you begin...
The shelves have stop-locks, so d_at when
placed con'ecdy on d_e supporcs, they v_411
stop before coming completely out, and
will not tilt.
When placing and removing cookware,
pull tim shelf out until it stops.
Toremove a shelf, pull it toward you, tilt
the front end up and pull it out.
Toreplace, place dm end of the shelf
(stop-locks) on the support, tilt up dm
front and push the shelf in.
Theoven has4 shelf positions.
How to Set the Oven for Baking or Roasting
[] Press the BAKEpad.
[_ Press the INCREASEor DECREASE
pad to set the oven temperature.
TochangetheoventemperatureduringtheBake
cycle,presstheBAKEpadandsetthenew
temperature.

Press the STARTpad. When the
oven starts to heat, tim changing
temperature will be in the display.
The display starts changing once
the telnperamre reaches 100°F.
[_] Press the CLEAR/OFFpad when
baking is finished.

Preheating and Pan Placement
Preheat the oven if the recipe calls fbr it.
Preheating is necessapy fbr good resuks
when baking cakes, cookies, pasuy and
breads.
Topreheat,settheovenat thecorrecttemperature.
Thecontrolwillbeepwhentheovenispreheated
andthedisplaywillshowyoursettemperature.
Thiswilltakeapproximately10-15minutes.
Baking resuks will be better ifbaking pans
are centered in the oven as much as
possible. Pans should not touch each
other or the walls of the oven. If you need
to use two shelves, stagger the pans so one
is not directly above the other, and leave
approximately 1%"between pans, from
the front, back and sides of the wall.
Cut slits inthe foiljust like the grid.
Aluminum Foil
You can use aluminum foil to line the
broiler pan and broiler grid. However,
you must rooM the foil tightly to the grid
and cut slit.sin itjust like the grid.
Without dm slit.s,the foil will prevent f_tt
and meat juices from (kaining into the
broiler pan. The juices couM become
hot enough to catch on fre. If you
do not cut the slit.s,you are essentially
lying, not broiling.
Donotusealuminumfoilonthebottomof
theoven.
Never entirely cover a shelfwid_
ahnninum fbil. This will disturb the heat
circulation and result in poor baking.
A smaller sheet of fbil may be used to
catch a spillover by placing it on a lower
shelf several inches below the fbod.
