Suds in the tub Correct detergent •
Use only automatic dishwasher detergents

To remove suds from the tub, open the
dishwasher and let suds evaporate. Add
1 gallon of cold water to the tub.
For 7000 series models:
•
Pump out water by pressing the
NORMAL WASH button; then press the
START/CANCEL button.
•
Close the door until it locks into place.
•
Wait for one minute; then carefully
open the door and hold down the
START/CANCEL button for three seconds.
For all other models:
•
Pump out water by closing the door until it
locks into place.
•
Press the NORMAL WASH button; then
press the START/CANCEL button.
•
Wait for one minute; then press and hold
down the START/CANCEL button for
three seconds. Repeat if necessary.
Too much rinse agent used
•
Remove any spilled rinse aid.
•
Reduce rinse aid setting.
•
For soft water, rinse aid may be unnecessary.
Dishes and flatware Improper rack loading • Make sure large dishware does not block
not clean the detergent dispenser or the wash arm.
• Assure silverware is not blocking spray
arm.
Filter or spray arms dirty • Clean filters and spray arms according to
instructions on page 22.
Inlet water temperature is • Run tap until water is hot, prior to starting
below 120°F dishwasher cycle.
• Raise the water heater temperature to
120°F.
• Depending on model, use WATER TEMP
HIGH or WATER TEMP SANI option if
suitable for dish load.
Air gap is clogged • Clean the air gap.
Water pressure is • Turn on a faucet. Is water coming out
temporarily low more slowly than usual? If so, wait until
pressure is normal before using your
dishwasher.
