If thisisyour firstdishwasher,or if
you’rereplacinga much older
model,you maywonderhow
much pre-preparationyourdishes
need.Actuallyverylittle.Pre-
rinsingof normalfood soilsis not
necessary.With commonsenseand
what foodsto remove.Hereare
someguidelines:
1. Scrapeoff bones, seeds,skins,
toothpicksand other hard solids.
It isalso bestto removehard
shelledvegetables,meat trim-
mings,leafyvegetablesand crusts.
Removeexcessivequantitiesof oil
or grease.
2. Removelargequantitiesof any
food. Yourdishwasherhasa built-
in soft food disposerthat pulver-
izessoft food bits and flushesthem
away.It can handle
smallamounts
of soft foods, but largeamounts of
food as soft as mashedpotatoes or
applesaucewillbe difficultto
handle.
3. Tryto removefood scrapsand
placedishesin dishwasherbefore
soilhas a chanceto dry and
becomehard. Disheswithdried-on
soilaremore difficultto washand
may not comecleanin the
NORMALcycle.Rememberto use
