Yournewcooktopburnershavebeenpresetfor an"average"setof conditions.Regional
variancesin gaspressureand atmosphericconditionssuch as height abovesea level
mayaffect your initialflame performance.
Whenthecontrolknob isturnedON,gasentersthe mixertubeandmixeswithair. This
airand gasmixtureflowsto the burnerhead and is lightedbya sparkfromthesolidstate
igniter.
A properlyadjustedburnerwith clean portswill light within a few seconds. The cone-
shapedflamewill be clear blue incolorwith a clearly definedinner cone. There should
benotraceof yellowintheflame. Ayellowflameindicatesanimpropermixtureof airand
gas. If your flamedoesnot resemblethe"correct"flameas describedabove,followthe
air shutteradjustmentinstructionsbelow.
Thevariablesurfacecontrolsforthe surfaceburnersandgrill burnerprovideflexibilityin
settingselection.
Note:The grill can be replacedwith anoptionalsurface burnermodule,ModelAG202.
Surface Burners
Incase ofprolongedpowerfailure,youcanmanuallylightthesurfaceburnerbyholding
alightedmatchneartheburnerportsandslowlyturningthecontrolknobcounterclockwise
(afterdepressing)until thegas ignites. Thereis no fan sosmokeandcondensationcan
gather.
