Ice cream is soft
• Unlike store-bought,
homemade ice
cream will have a soft
consistency
• For firmer ice cream,
place ice cream in air-
tight, sealed container
in freezer until it hardens
Thick layer of
ice cream has
formed on side
of the bowl
• A thin layer of ice
cream on the side of
the bowl is normal. Ice
cream mixtures with
lower fat content/lower
sugar content will form
a thicker layer.
• To help reduce the
layer on the side of the
bowl, when churning,
place hand lightly on
the top of the motor unit
pressing down lightly for
the first few minutes
