CARING FOR THE FILTERS
Thegrease filters should be removed and cleaned often,at least once a month,
NOTE: Ifyour microwave hood combination is installedto recirculateair, the charcoal filter
(Part No.5230W1A003A)is availablefrom Sears bycalling 1-800-4-MY-HOME®,
Thecharcoal filtercannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months,
Grease filters (Part No.2B72705C):
CHARCOAL FILTER REPLACEMENT
Ifyouroven isventedinside,thecharcoal filter
should be replacedevery 6 to 12months, and more
often if necessary,The charcoal filter cannot be
cleaned, To order a newcharcoal filter, see
informationin NOTE above,
1,Disconnect power or unplug microwave oven.
2, Remove the two vent grille mounting screws,
1. Unplugmicrowave oven or disconnect power,
2. To remove greasefilters,slideeach filter to the
side.Pull filters downward and push to the other
side.The filterwill drop out.
3. Soak grease filtersin hotwater and a mild
detergent, Scruband swish to remove embedded
dirtand grease. Rinsewell and shake to dry. Do
not clean filterswith ammonia, corrosivecleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners,or place
them in a dishwasher. The filterswill turn black or
could be damaged,

4. To replace greasefilters,slidefilter in the frame
slot on one side of theopening, Pushfilter
upward and push tothe other sideto lock into
place,
3, Tip the grille forward,then lift out to remove,
4, Remove bulb holder
5, Slide a newcharcoal filter intoplace,
The filter should rest at theangle shown,
6. Slide the bottom ofthe vent grille into place,
Push the top untilitsnaps into place,
Replace the mounting screws,
7, Reconnect power or plug in microwave oven,
