Notes on connecting to the mains water supply
Connection to the mains water supply should only be
carried out by a qualified and competent person in strict
accordance with national and local safety regulations.
This machine conforms to IEC 61770 and EN 61770.
The water quality must conform to the requirements for
drinking water in the country the machine is being
installed in.
All items used for connecting the machine to the mains
water supply must comply with the current national and
local safety regulations in the country in which the machine
is being installed.
The machine is only suitable for connection to the cold
water supply.
The machine is constructed to comply with the relevant
DIN standard and may be connected to the mains drinking
water supply without a non-return valve if national
regulations permit.
The machine is designed to operate with a minimum flow
pressure of 1 bar. There is a minimum flow pressure of 1
bar if 5 litres of water flow into a suitable container in 15
seconds.
The static water pressure must not exceed 10 bar. If it is
higher than 10 bar it is essential to fit a reducer valve.
The stainless steel hose is 1.5 m long. The hose may not
be lengthened as too much water would then remain in the
hose adversely affecting the quality of the coffee.
A stopcock must be provided between the stainless steel
hose and the household water supply to ensure that the
water supply can be disconnected if necessary.
The stopcock should be easily accessible after the
machine has been built in.
