BEFOREINSTALLATION
This appliance shall only be installed by an
authorizedprofessional.
This appliance shall be installed in accordance
withthemanufacturer’sinstallationinstructions.
This appliance must be installed in accordance
withthenorms&standardsofthecountrywhere
it will be installed. The installation of this
appliance must conform to local
codes and
ordinances. In the abs ence of local codes,
InstallationsmustconformstoAmericanNational
Standards,NationalFuelGasCodeANSIZ223.1–
latestedition**orB149.1.
The appliance, when installed, must be
electrically grounded in accordance with local
codesor,inthe absenceoflocalcodes, withthe
National
ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.
If local codes permit, a flexible metal appliance
connection with the new AGA or CGA certified
design, max. 5 feet (1,5 m) long, ½” I.D. is
recommended for connecting this appliance to
the gassupply line.Do notbend ordamage the
flexibleconnectorwhenmovingthe
appliance.
This appliance must be used with the pressure
regulator pr ovided. The regulator shall be
properlyinstalledinordertobeaccessiblewhen
theapplianceisinstalledinitsfinallocation.The
pressureregulatormustbesetforthetypeofgas
tobeused.Thepressureregulatorhas ½”
female
pipe thread. The appropriate fitting must be
determinedbasedonthesizeofyourgassupply
line,theflexiblemetalconnectorandtheshutoff
valve.
The appliance must be isolated from the gas
supply piping system by closing its individual
manualshutoffvalveduring anypressuretesting
ofthegas
supplypipingsystemattestpressures
equaltoorlessthan½psi(3.5kPa).
Allopeningandholes inthewallandfloor, back
and under the appliance shall be sealed before
installationoftheappliance.
Amanualvalveshallbeinstalledinanaccessible
locationinthegas
lineexternalto theappliance
forthepurposeofturningonorshutting offgas
totheappliance
WARNING: This appliance shall not be installed
with a ventilation system that air downward
towardthera nge/rangetop/cooktop;thistypeof
ventilation system may cause ignition and
combustion problem with the gas cooking
appliance
resulting in a personal injury or
unintendedoperation.
WARNING: an air curtain or other overhead
range/rangetop/cooktop hood, which operates
by blowing a downward airflow onto a
range/rangetop/cooktop, shall not be
used/installed in conjunction with this gas
range/rangetop/cooktop.

ROOM VENTILATION: An exhaust fan may be
used withthe appliance; in eachcase itshall be
installed in conformity with the appropriate
national and local standards. Exhaust hood

eachcase itshallbe installedinconformitywith
the
appropriatenationalandlocalstandards.
TYPEOFGAS
Thisapplianceisshippedfromthefactoryforuse
with natural gas. For use with propane LP gas
please follow the conversion procedure
described on pg. 17. A step by step conversion
procedureisalsoincludedwitheachsetofLP gas
nozzles.
GASPRESSURE
Themaximuminletgassupplypressureincoming
to the gas appliance pressure regulator is 20’’
watercolumn(5kPa).
The minimum gas supply pressure for checking
theregulatorsettingshallbeatleast1“w.c.(249
Pa)abovetheinletspecifiedmanifoldpressureto
the appliance
(this operating pressure is 4” w.c.
(1.00kPa)forNaturalGasand11”w.c.(2.75kPa
forLPGas).
