Pulsing
Follow these steps to set the blender to pulse with short bursts of power.
Step 1: Press the power button and the indicator light
will flash.
Step 2: Press the “Pulse” button.
This button turns the blender on and, when
released, turns the blender off creating short
bursts of power.
• Pulsing allows you to chop ingredients into pieces rather than processing
them until smooth.
• Pulsing works well for chopping ingredients such as fruits, nuts,
vegetables, bread crumbs and cracker crumbs.
• For best results, allow the blades to stop between pulses so the food in
the blender jar settles around the blade.
Making a Smoothie
The blender has a specially designed “Smoothie” button for processing your
favorite smoothies and creamy drinks. Follow these steps to set the blender
to make a smoothie.
Step 1: Press the power button and the indicator light
will flash.
Step 2: Press the “Smoothie” button.
The blender will automatically run a specially
designed program for making smoothies. The
blender runs 30 seconds on liquify and then 30
seconds pulsing on and off chopping through
frozen bits of fruit, ice cream and/or ice cubes.
Step 3: If desired, turn off the smoothie feature by pressing
the “Smoothie” button a second time OR by pressing the
power button.
• Try using the smoothie feature for processing drinks with ice cubes, ice
cream and/or frozen fruit pieces.
