Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Remove the lower basket andthen unscrew and remove thecap from the salt
container.
Ifyou arefilling thecontainer for the first time ,fill 2/3 of its volume with water.
Placethe end ofthefunnel(supplied) into the hole and introduceabout 2kg of
salt .Itis normal for a small amount of water to come out ofthe salt container
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Unscrew the cap from the salt container.
There is aringon the container with an arrow on it(seeFigure to theside), if
necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise direction from the "-" Setting
toward the "+" sign, based on thehardness of the waterbeingused.It is
recommendedthatadjustments should bemade in accordance with the following
schema:

Thesalt container mustbe refilled when the salt warninglight comes on. Though thesalt container is filled
enough, the indicator lightmaynot blackoutbefore the saltfullydissolve.
Ifthereare spillsof the salt,a soak program could be run towipethem out.
Contact your localwater board for information on the hardness ofyour water supply.
Thehardness of thewatervariesfrom place toplace. If hard water is usedin the dishwasher, deposits will form onthedishes
andutensils.
Theappliances is equippedwitha specialsoftenerthat usesa salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the
water.
Thedishwasher isdesigned to allow for adjusting the amountof salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used.
Thisisintended tooptimizeandcustomizethelevelofsaltconsumption so that the salt consumption could be set proceedas
follows:
There are two ways to reduce the hardness: one way is using water softener, the other is using
detergent.
