3.6 AIX and compiler runtime download Web sites
In some cases you need to order or download general AIX PTFs. CATIA and ENOVIA also
require specific FORTRAN and C++ Run Time Environment levels. These filesets are
available for download from the Web, as shown in the next sections.
3.6.1 AIX fix delivery center
In order to get PTFs for AIX there is a comprehensive fix delivery service for pSeries systems
running AIX or Linux. This new service makes it easier to find both software fixes and
hardware microcode updates. Fix Central consolidates existing pSeries fix-delivery interfaces.

3.6.2 FORTRAN
To download the FORTRAN runtime environment at level 7.1.1.3 refer to the following link:

3.6.3 C++ runtime
To download the C++ runtime environment at levels 5.0.0.2 or 6.0.0.0 refer to the following

Once you are on this site, change the content in the search field from “Fileset or PTF number”
to “APAR Number or abstract” and enter in the string “C runtime”. In the result window search
for “VISUALAGE C++ V6 RUNTIME LIBRARIES”. Highlight the entry and select Add to list.
Follow the messages in the upcoming procedure.
The recommended URL is also important to check for new AIX 5L V5.1 updates.
