Temperature indicator light
The temperature indicator light will
also appear next to the temperature in
the display. The indicator light is always
on when the heating is on.
When the set temperature is reached,
–
the oven heating switches off.
–
the temperature indicator light goes
out.
–
a buzzer will sound, if it is switched
on (see "Settings - Audible tone").
However, if the temperature falls below
the set temperature, the oven heating
and the temperature indicator light will
switch on again.
Rapid heat-up S
The Rapid heat-up S function can be
used to pre-heat the oven.
Pre-heating the oven
Most dishes can be placed in a cold
oven. They will then make use of the
heat produced during the heating-up
phase.
When using the Fan plus function it is
only necessary to pre-heat in a few
instances:
–
Pre-heating may be necessary for
foods which cook in less than
20 minutes and for foods such as
puff pastry and yeast mixtures where
instant heat is required to make them
rise quickly.
– for roasting beef/fillet.
Do not use Rapid heat-up S to
pre-heat the oven when baking
pizzas or biscuits and small cakes.
They will brown too quickly.
To pre-heat the oven:
^
Select Rapid heat-up S.
^
Use the temperature selector to set
the required temperature.
The oven will start to heat up.
^
When the temperature indicator light
goes out for the first time and the
buzzer sounds, select the function
you require for continued cooking or
baking, and place the food in the
oven.
Rapid heat-up S is not suitable for
traditional cooking.
