Miele KM 2357 Cooktop User Manual

~
Remove splashes of fat and other food debris from the surface as
soon as possible. These are a fire hazard.
~
Replace the pan supports carefully to avoid scratching the
surface of the hob.
~
Using a gas hob results in the build-up of heat, moisture and
combustion products in the room in which it is installed. To ensure
that there is adequate ventilation, especially when the appliance is
in use: make sure natural ventilation to the room is unhindered or
use a mechanical ventilation device (e.g. a cooker hood).
~
Intensive and prolonged use of the appliance may result in a
requirement for additional ventilation, e.g. opening a window or a
more effective form of ventilation, e.g. use of a cooker hood on a
higher setting.
~
When using the gas hob an extractor hood or a ventilation facility
must be used.
~
When using an electrical appliance, e.g. a hand-held food
blender, near the gas hob, ensure that the cable of the electrical
appliance does not come into contact with the hot appliance. The
insulation on the cable could become damaged, giving rise to an
electric shock hazard.
~
Spray canisters, aerosols and other inflammable substances must
not be stored in a drawer under the hob. Cutlery inserts must be
heat-resistant.
~
Do not use pans that are large enough to cover more than one
burner. The resulting build-up of heat could damage the appliance.
~
Avoid allowing liquids or foods containing salt to spill onto the
hob. If salty foods or liquids do get on the hob, they should be
removed as soon as possible to avoid the risk of corrosion.
