Malted Milk Waffles
1 Egg, separated
1 cup Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Sugar
3 tbsp. Malted Milk Powder
¾ cup Milk
4 tbsp. Butter, melted and cooled
1. Beat egg white in a small bowl until stiff and set aside.
2. Mix together dry ingredients and set aside.
3. Combine egg yolk, milk and melted butter. Add to dry ingredients, mixing
until just blended. Fold in beaten egg white until just mixed. Do not over mix
the batter.
4. Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook
until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
Gluten-Free Buttermilk Waffles
1 cup Rice Flour
½ cup Potato Starch or Corn
Starch
¼ cup Tapioca Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs or cup Egg Substitute
1½ cups Buttermilk
¼ cup Canola Oil
½ tsp. Vanilla
1. In a large bowl mix the flours, starch, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla to the
eggs and mix well.
3. Add the moist ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until large lumps
are gone.
4. Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook
until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
Chocolate Chip Waffles
1¾ cups Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tbsp. Sugar
½ tsp. Salt
2 cups of Chocolate Chips
3 Egg Yolks
3 Egg Whites
1¾ cups Milk
½ cup Vegetable Oil
1. In a medium sized bowl, combine all dry ingredients. This includes the
chocolate chips. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they are stiff.
2. In a small bowl, combine the egg yolks and milk. Then, stir in to the dry
ingredients. Add the oil and mix. GENTLY fold in beaten egg whites, and
mix until large lumps disappear.
3. Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook
until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
Apple Waffles
2 cups Milk
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Eggs
2 cups Instant Pancake Mix
cup Butter or Margarine, melted
1 cup Apples, finely chopped
1. Place milk, eggs, pancake mix and melted butter in bowl.
2. Mix batter until large lumps are gone. Stir in apples.
3. Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook
until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
