REMOVING THE HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER
WARNING
Personal Injury Hazard
Disconnect from the electrical supply be-
fore servicing the unit. Failure to do so
could result in death or electrical shock.
1. Disconnect the electrical supply to the
microwave oven.

Disconnect from power supply before ser-
vicing. Discharge the capacitor using a
20,000-ohm discharge resistor, or an insu-
lated plastic-handle screwdriver to short
across the capacitor terminals.
2. Discharge the high-voltage capacitor.
3. Remove the two screws from the top of
the cabinet for the vent grille and remove
the grille (see the illustration on page
2-3).
4. Remove the control panel from the micro-
wave oven (see page 2-6).
5. Disconnect the filament wires from the
magnetron, then disconnect the three re-
maining wires from the terminals at the
front and back of the high voltage trans-
former.
6. Remove the three hex nuts from the high
voltage transformer and remove the trans-
former from the oven.
7. Install the new high voltage transformer
and reassemble the microwave oven.
