Burn Hazard
Use an oven mitt when removing
crisper pan.
Use crisper pan handle when
removing crisper pan.
Failure to do so can result in burns.
Your microwave oven lets you crisp, brown,
and pan fry foods that you would normally
need to prepare in a regular range or oven.
It’s done with the patented microwave distri-
bution system and the specially
designed crisper pan. While microwaves
heat the food from above, they also heat the
pan very quickly from below for browning
and crisping the bottom of the food.
The crisp feature has preset functions that
you can use with just a couple simple touch-
es of your control panel. You can cook
pizza, chicken, fry breakfast foods like eggs
and sausage, or prepare hamburgers. See
the sections on the following pages for more
information.
NOTES:
• Do not use plastic utensils on the crisper
pan. The pan becomes very hot quickly
and could melt the utensils.
• Only use wooden cooking utensils on the
crisper pan to prevent scratches.
• Always use the turntable as support for
the crisper pan.
• Do not use the crisper pan in any other
microwave oven or in a thermal oven.
To order additional crisper pans or Han-
dles (refer to the part numbers shown at
right), use the order card included with your
Use and Care Guide.
Preheating the
crisper pan
For best results when cooking with the crisp
feature, you should preheat the crisper pan
before you use it. Also before use, spray the
crisper pan with nonstick cooking oil or
brush it with oil to make it easier to remove
food from the pan and to clean the pan after
you use it.
