Installation
1. For all glue-down BR-111
wood flooring products use a 1/4" x 1/8" x 1/4" square notch trowel.
The spread rate is approximately 4550 square feet per gallon of adhesive (see trowel requirements).
2. Good transfer of adhesive to the wood is essential to a successful installation. The installer should periodically
check to insure good transfer is achieved. 80% coverage is required for all engineered wood flooring
products. 95% coverage is required for all solid wood flooring products.
3. To prevent accidental movement and gapping of the flooring units before the adhesive is cured,
use strips of blue 3M tape to interlock the rows together.
4. Do not allow light foot traffic until installation is fully cured, usually between 8 to 12 hours.
Clean Up
This adhesive is easily cleaned up with mineral spirits and a soft cloth when the adhesive is still wet.
CAUTION:
THIS ADHESIVE IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE URETHANE FINISH IF ALLOWED TO
DRY AND MAY DAMAGE FINISH ON FLOORING. Be sure to remove residual adhesive with
mineral spirits from the surface as you go.
Storage/Shelf Life
Store between 35°F and 100°F. Shelf life is one year from date of manufacture.
Disposal
Cured adhesive residue in the buckets is not considered hazardous waste.
