Troubleshooting chart
Problem Possible causes What to do
The pan supports will not
rise.
Power is not turned on. Turn on the CookSurface.
The pan supports, on/off
power button, or control
dials are stuck.
Food has been spilled on these
parts.
See ‘Care and cleaning’.
A flame is extremely
yellow or uneven.
The burner has been incorrectly
reassembled after cleaning.
Food has been spilled on the
mesh under the burner head.
If you are using bottled gas, this
may be an indication that the
bottle is nearly empty.
Reassemble the burner correctly
(see ‘Care and cleaning’)
.
Call your Authorized Service
Center or Customer Care.
Check the level of your gas
bottle.
A burner is not lighting. You are out of gas.
Food has been spilled on the
igniter.
The burner has been incorrectly
reassembled after cleaning.
Refill your gas bottle or check
the gas connection.
Call your Authorized Service
Center or Customer Care.
Reassemble the burner correctly
(see ‘Care and cleaning’).
The flame goes out on
the low setting.
You are out of gas.
Moving air caused by opening/
closing cupboard doors is blowing
out the flame.
Drafts
are blowing out the flame.
The low flame setting is too low.
Refill your gas bottle or check
the gas connection.
This may occur on a low setting.
The burner will relight.
Eliminate the draft. If the
problem persists, call your
Authorized Service Center or
Customer Care.

lower slowly and noisily.
