2 Preparation
Example: Proceed as follows to prepare an espresso using pre-
ground coffee.
T Place an espresso cup under the coffee spout.
T Open the cover of the bean container.
T Open the cover of the filler funnel for preground coffee.
PRE-GROUND / FILL POWDER
T Place one level measuring spoon of preground coffee into
the filler funnel.
T Close the cover of the filler funnel for preground coffee.
PRE-GROUND / SELECT PRODUCT
i T Press the Espresso button.
Preparation will now begin. The preset amount of water for
espresso flows into the cup. Preparation stops automatically
and
ENJOY appears briefly on the display. Then COFFEE
READY is displayed.
It is easy to permanently set the amount of water for all speciality
coffees, milk specialities and hot water to the cup size. Adjust the
amount once as shown in the following example. Every time you
prepare a drink in the future, this amount of water will be dis-
pensed.
Permanent setting of the amount of water to the cup size for all spe-
ciality coffees, milk specialities and hot water follows this model.
Example: Proceed as follows to permanently set the amount of
water for one coffee.
Precondition:
COFFEE READY is displayed.
T Place a cup under the coffee spout.
o T Press and hold the Coffee button.
1 COFFEE and the coffee strength is displayed.
o T Hold the Coffee button down until
ENOUGH ? / PRESS
BUTTON appears.
o T Release the Coffee button.
Preparation starts and the coffee flows into the cup.
T Press any button as soon as there is sufficient coffee in the
cup.
