frying times and temperature chart
The frying times given in this chart are a guide only and
should be adjusted to suit the different quantities or
thickness of food and to suit your own taste.
Food Frying Frying Time
Temp
Fresh Chips - 1 Kg 190˚C 9-13 minutes
(recommended quantity for until golden brown
best results)
Frozen Chips 190˚C 9-11 minutes
FISH
Scampi - frozen in crumbs 170°C 3-5 minutes
(just enough to loosely
cover the base of basket)
Fresh Whitebate - 190°C 1-2 minutes
(just enough to cover
base of basket)
Fresh Cod or Haddock 190°C 5-10 minutes
in batter (depending on
fish thickness)
Frozen Cod or Haddock 170˚C 10-15 minutes
portions in crumbs or batter (depending on
fish thickness)
Frozen Plaice 190°C 5-6 minutes
MEAT
Frozen Hamburgers (2oz 50g) 150°C 3-5 minutes
Chicken portions in crumbs 170°C 15-20 minutes
small/medium size
Chicken portions in crumbs 170°C 20-30 minutes
large size
Frozen Veal Escalopes 170°C 3-8 minutes
(depending on
thickness)
Fresh Chicken Drum Sticks 170°C 15 minutes
in crumbs
care and cleaning
Never start cleaning until the oil has cooled
down.
Always unplug and remove the control unit before
cleaning.
Ensure everything’s completely dry before
reassembling.

Pull out. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Take care not to damage the heating element
wires during cleaning.
Never put it in water.
basket
After each use, remove and soak in hot soapy water for
20 minutes. Then use a stiff brush.
bowl
After each use soak in hot soapy water for 20 minutes.
Then use a non-abrasive cleaner.
lid/fryer body
Wash in hot soapy water.
Alternatively the lid, fryer body and bowl can be
washed in a dishwasher. For baked on oil, we
recommend soaking the bowl prior to dishwashing.
drip tray
Slide the drip tray out from the back of the fryer.
Empty the tray and wash in hot soapy water.
service and customer care
If the cord is damaged it must, for safety reasons, be
replaced by Kenwood or an authorised Kenwood
repairer.
