Norcold 442 Refrigerator User Manual

VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS
WARNING: Carbon Monoxide can cause
nausea, fainting, or death. Inadequate ven-
tilation or partial blockage of the refrigera-
tor’s flue can result in increased carbon
monoxide emissions when operating in the
gas mode. To prevent the emission of lev-
els of carbon monoxide, installation must
assure complete isolation of the living
space of the R.V. from the refrigerator’s
combustion system. Follow Norcold’s Ven-
tilation and Installation recommendations
explicity.

from the refri

erator cabinet.
Certified installation re
q
uires that one intake

and one exhaust
(

be used. For the models
6052, 6053, 652, and 653, the installer has the op-
tion of exhaustin

per side wall vent. Whether roof or side wall exhaust

directed b

across the refri

The air passa

without modification
.
Any deviation
or substitution:
* Can result in carbon monoxide levels in the livin
g
space of the vehicle.
* Will void the a

encies’ certification.
* Will void the refri

erator warrant
y
.
* Will effect refri
g
erator performance.
The intake vent

)
also serves as a access

door. The bottom of the intake
vent openin
g
must be flush with the surface on which
the refri
g
erator is mounted. This confi

uration allows

propane to ventilate to the outside.
