• Do not preheat when using the dehydrate mode.
• The dehydrating temperature is pre-set at 140°F.
• Use drying screens (not supplied with oven).
• Multiple racks can be used simultaneously.
• Place food in oven before selecting the mode.
To Set the DEHYDRATE Mode:
You Will See
1. Select once for UPPER oven.
Select twice for LOWER oven.
2. Select PROOF/DEHYDRATE twice
for the dehydrate mode.
3. Select START.
The oven is preheated when the chime signals once.
PREHEAT disappears from the display.
4. To end this mode, select the oven OFF pad.
DEHYDRATING TIPS
• Some foods require as much as 14 to 15 hours of time to fully dehydrate.
• Consult a food preservation book for specific times and handling of various foods.
• This mode is suitable for a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and meat strips.
• Drying screens can be purchased at specialty kitchen shops.
• By using paper towels,
some food moisture should be absorbed before dehydrating begins (such as sliced
tomatoes or sliced peaches).
