5. If the millivolt reading is below 5 MV, replace the thermocouple.
6. If the MV reading is within tolerance, the safety valve should be replaced.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

/16" open end wrench,
11
/16" open wrench, and
3
/8" open end wrench.
1. Disconnect unit from main gas supply.
2. Disconnect thermocouple from safety valve (Fig. 38).
