INSTALLATION OF OTHER THAN GENUINE BLODGETT RANGE PARTS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY ON
THIS EQUIPMENT.
The serial plate is located under the Cheese Melter bottom drip pan at the front, toward the left (see Figure 1 on page
4).
Replacement parts (including parts not listed in this manual) may be ordered either through a Blodgett Range
Authorized Parts Distributor or a Blodgett Range Authorized Service Agency.
When ordering parts, please supply the Model Number, Serial Number, Part Number, and Part Description.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Look for -
Not enough heat – Low pressure in gas supply
– Restriction in gas piping and/or valves
– Misalignment of burner orifice tube
– Clogged burner orifice
– Incorrect burner orifice
Too much heat – Incorrect orifices
– Defective or incorrectly set pressure regulator
Burner flame has excessive blue haze – Obstruction of combustion-air intake on rear of Cheese Melter
– Exhaust gases blocked by objects sitting on top of Cheese
Melter
– Low pressure in gas supply
– Misalignment of orifice tube
Burner flame fluttering – Adjust to higher temperature setting
Burner flame popping – Cracked or loose ceramic
Slow burner ignition – Pilot flame out of adjustment
– Pilot alignment out of adjustment
Pilot outage
– Pilot flame out of adjustment
– Draft condition
– Pilot orifice clogged
– Incorrect pilot orifice
