Before First Use
1. Remove all packing materials.
2. Wash the wok, steam rack, spatula, and lid in warm
soapy water and rinse well. Dry thoroughly. DO
NOT immerse the cooking station in water.
3. Condition the wok with approximately 1
1
/2 tbsp of
cooking oil. Use a paper towel to wipe thoroughly.
NOTE: This seasons the wok.
4. Attach the lid handle with the lid using the screw
supplied.
Assembling the knob on the lid:
1. Position the knob over the hole of the lid.
2. Push the screw through the hole on the bottom
side of the lid.
3. Screw tightly into lid.
4. Periodically, tighten screw if needed.
Operating the Unit
Note: Appliance may give off a fine smoke and a slight
burning odor when operating for the first time.
1. Place the cooking station on a dry, flat surface, then
place the wok in the center of the heating plate.
2. Plug in the unit. Add cooking oil and turn the
temperature control dial to 1,2,3,4, or 5.
1-2 Low temperature - keeps food warm
3 Medium temperature - chinese or fondue
4-5 High temperature - Meat, chicken, or vegetables
NOTE: Do not cover when heating the oil. If wok is
already heated, do not add oil.
3. When the indicator light turns off, the unit has reached
it’s desiredtemperature. It is ready to start cooking.
NOTE: Do not overfill the wok with food. NOTE: Use
the bamboo spatula for turning and stirring ready food.
4. Turn the temperature dial to the “OFF” position when
you are finished cooking. Unplug from the electrical
outlet.
Caution: Wok base is very hot. Do not touch
the wok base while cooking. The wok heats up fast.
Have all ingredients ready before turning on the
wok. Use oven mits as the unit gets hot.
Cleaning the Unit
1. Turn the temperature dial to the”0” position.
Unplug from the electrical outlet.
2. Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
3. The wok, steam rack, spatula and lid can be washed in
warm soapy water. Rinse well. Dry thoroughly before
reassembling.
4. If surface is hard to clean, reheat the unit. Unplug unit.
Let it cool until it is warm, then clean as stated above.
5. To clean the cooking station, wipe with a dry soft cloth.
Do not immerse the cooking station in any liquid.
