fromslotsintheburner support.
2. Lifttheend ofthe burner
assembly,thenpullawayfromthe
frontof therangeto free theair
shutterfromthe gasvalveorifice.
Toremoveburned-onfood, soak

Toreplaceburners:
1. Sliptheair shutteroverthegas
valveorifice.
2. Lowerthe burnerassembly
andhookthetabsin theslotsin the
burnersupport.
3. Besurebothtabsare intheir
slots,thattheburnersits leveland
straight,ancIthattheflashtube
formsa straightlinefromthe
ignitertotheburner.
DripPans
Removethegratesand liftoutthe
chromedrip pans.Washthemin
hot, soapywater.Rinsethemwith
clean,hotwaterand polishthem
dry witha cloth.Neveruse
abrasivecleaneror steelwool—
they’llscratchthe surface.Instead,
soakthedrip pansforabout20
minutesinslightlydilutedliquid
cleanseror mildsolutionof
ammoniaandwater(1/2cupof
ammoniato onegallonof water).
Aftersoaking,washtheminhot,
soapywater.Rinsewithcleanwater
andpolishwitha clean,softcloth.
Do notattempttocleanthedrip
pansintheself-cleaningoven.
Whenreplacingdrip pans,the
notchon the rearpanandthenotch
onthe frontpanshouldmeetin the
middle.

Cleantheareaunderthecooktop
often’.Built-upsoil, especially
grease,maycatchfire.

makers.Soakthe burner for20 to
30 minutes.If the fooddoesn’t
rinseoffcompletely,scrub it with
soapand wateror a mildabrasive
cleanseranda dampcloth.
Do notattemptto cleanburnersin
an automaticdishwasher.Loosened
foodsoilcan clogburner holes,
andthecausticactionofthe
dishwasherdetergentcan damage
theburner heads.
Beforeputtingtheburner back, dry
itthoroughlyby settingit ina warm
ovenfor30 minutes.

Tomakecleaningeasier,theentire
cooktopmaybeliftedupand
supportedintheup position.
Besureall burnersareturnedoff
beforeraisingthecooktop.Then
removethegratesand drip pans,
graspthetwofrontburnerwells
andliftup. Dualsupportrodswill
holdthe cooktopup whileyou
cleanunderneathit.
Aftercleaningunderthecooktop
withhot, mildsoapywateranda
cleancloth, lowerthecooktop.Be
carefulnotto pinchyourfingers.
