Anair adjustmentshutterforeach
surfaceburnerregulatestheflowof
airto thetlame.
Whentherightamountof air
flowsintotheburner,the flame
willbe steady,relativelyquietand
haveapproximately3/4”sharpblue
cones.Thisis usuallythecasewith
factorypresetshuttersettings.
Withtoo muchair,the flamewill
beunsteady,possiblywon’tburnall
thewayaround,andwillbenoisy,
soundinglikea blowtorch.
Withnotenoughair,youwon’tsee
anysharpblueconesintheflame,
you may see yellowtips, andsoot
mayaccumulateon potsandpans.
Theair adjustmentshuttersseton
thehoodofthe valvesandare
positionedon theburner tubesby
frictionfit.
Toadjustthe flowof airto the
burners,applya blade-type
screwdriveragainstthe friction-fit
shuttersandpushto rotatethe
shutters,allowingmoreor lessair
intotheburnertubesas needed.

top(broil)burner isin thecenterof
the rearwalloftheoven.

Toadjustthe flowof airto either
burner,loosenthePhillipshead
screwand rotatetheshutterto
allowmoreor less
air intothe
burner tube as needed.

The flameforthe top (broil)
burnershouldbcstcwiywith
approximately1-inchbluecones
andshouldnotextendoutoverthe
bafficedges.
Todetermineif the bottom(mm)
burnerflameis proper,remove
theovenbottom(SCCptigc18)and
theburnerbaffle.The flwncshouk!
have 1/2”to 3/4”blueconeswith no
yellow tipping. Whenthebaftlc is
backinplace,thetlamcwillrcscttlc.
