NOTHING ON THE COOKTOP
OPERATES

• Check for a blown circuit fuse or a
tripped main circuit breaker.
• Check if cooktop is properly connected
to electric circuit in house.

HOT ENOUGH.
• Surface controls may not be set
properly.
• Voltage to house may be low.
• Cookware may not be flat or the correct
size or shape.

/OR SMOKE WHEN FIRST
TURNED
ON.
• This is normal.
GLASS-CERAMIC
SURFACE
SHOWS WEAR.
1.Tiny scratches or abrasions.
• Make sure cooktop and pan bottom
are clean.
• Do not slide glass or metal
pans across top.
• Make sure pan bottom is not rough.
• Use the recommended cleaning
agents. See pg. 8.
2.Metal marks.
• Do not slide metal pans across top.
• When cool, clean with Cooktop
Cleaning Creme. See pg. 8.
3.Brown streaks and specks.
• Remove spills promptly.
• Do not wipe with soiled cloth
or sponge.
• Be sure pan bottom is clean.
4.Areas with a metallic sheen.
• May be caused by mineral deposits
from water and food.
5.Pitting or flaking.
• Remove sugary boilovers promptly.

A FAN SOUND CAN BE HEARD.
• This is the cooling fan and is normal.
The fan will run when any element is
turned on.
