MICROWAVE POWER LEVELS
For best results, some recipes call for different cook
powers. The lower the cook power, the slower the
cooking. Each number from 1 to 9 stands for a
different percentage of futt cook power.
The following chart gives the percentage of cook
power each number pad stands for, and the cook
power name usually used.
It also tells you when to use each cook power.
Follow recipe or food package instructions if
available.

Cooking tender cuts of meat.
Whole poultry.
9 : 90% of full power * Reheating rice, pasta and vegetables.

8 : 80% of futt power * Reheating sandwiches.
• Cooking egg, milk and cheese dishes.
7 : 70% of futt power Medium-High "Cooking cakes and breads.
Melting chocolate.
Cooking veal.
6 : 60% of fult power *Cooking whole fish.
Cooking puddings and custard.
Cooking ham, whole poultry and lamb.
5 : 50% of full power Medium *Cooking rib roast and sirloin tip.
4 : 40% of futt power *Thawing meat, poultry and seafood.

NOTE: Once the cook time has been entered, you can atso use the Cook Power pad as a second Kitchen
Timer by entering "0" for the Cook Power. The oven will count down the cooking time you set
without cooking.
