Empty the milk carafe and  ll half of it with fresh water. Insert it back
into the machine with the dispensing spout open. Press the “
” but-
ton.

Empty the container and place it back
under both the milk carafe dis-
penser and the dispensing spout.
Press the “ ” button.

The rinse cycle is activated.
Note:
To empty the container during the process and to pause the rinse cycle,
press the “
” button. To resume the cycle, press the “ ” button.
Note:
The rinse cycle is performed in order to have the circuit cleaned with a
preset amount of water to ensure proper machine performance. If the
water tank is not  lled up to MAX level, the machine could require two or
more cycles.

When the amount of water needed for the rinse cycle has been
completely dispensed, the machine automatically ends the descaling
process.
Note:
Wait until it has  nished rinsing.

At the end of the descaling process, the machine performs an auto-
matic rinse cycle. Wait until it  nishes before removing and emptying
the container.

Disassemble and wash the milk carafe as described in the “Weekly
Cleaning of the Milk Carafe” chapter.

Empty the drip tray (internal) and place it back.

Remove the small white  lter and place back the “INTENZA+” water
lter into the water tank if it was installed.
Note:
At the end of the descaling cycle, wash the brew group as described in the
“Weekly Cleaning of the Brew Group” chapter.
