TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter summarizes the most common problems you could encoun-
ter with your machine.

Machine actions Causes Solutions
The machine does not
switch on.
The machine is not connected to the
electric network.
Connect the machine to the electric
network.
The power button is on position "0". Check that the power button is set to "I".
The drip tray gets  lled al-
though no water is drained.
Sometimes water is drained auto-
matically by the machine into the
drip tray to manage the rinsing of
the circuits and ensure optimum
machine performance.
This is seen as normal machine behaviour.
Co ee is not hot enough. The cups/mugs are cold. Preheat the cups/mugs with hot water or
use the hot water dispensing spout.
The beverage temperature in the
programming menu is set on Low.
Make sure that the temperature in the
programming menu is set on Normal or
High.
You added cold milk to the co ee. Cold milk lowers the temperature of the
nal product. Preheat the milk before
adding it to the beverage.
No hot water is dispensed. The hot water/steam dispensing
spout is clogged or dirty.
Clean the hot water dispensing spout.
Inspect the steam spout to check that the
dispensing spout is not clogged. Make
a hole in the limescale using a pin or a
needle.
The machine does not  ll
the cup/mug.
The machine has not been pro-
grammed.
Enter the beverage programming menu
and adjust the co ee length setting ac-
cording to your personal taste for each
type of beverage.
Co ee does not have
enough crema (see note).
The blend is unsuitable, co ee is not
freshly roasted or the grind is too
coarse.
Change co ee blend or adjust the grind
as explained in the “Adjusting the Ceramic
Co ee Grinder” chapter.
The co ee beans or the pre-ground
co ee are too old.
Make sure that you use fresh co ee beans
or pre-ground co ee.
