Controller Check
1. DISCONNECT POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove control panel, but leave plugged in.
3. Disconnect wires from positions 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 on controller.
Cover the ends of the wires
with electrical tape to prevent contact with metal or skin.
4. Use jumper wires to connect together positions 3, 4, and 5 on controller.
5. Reconnect power to unit and turn unit on. Wait six minutes.
6. Test for 200 to 240 volts between positions 12 and 13 on controller. If no voltage is present, see
page 19.
7. Use a spacer to hold the door switch in the closed position.
8. Test for 200 to 240 volts between positions 13 and 5 on controller. If no voltage is present, check
door switch using the procedure on page 30.
9. Test for 200 to 240 volts between positions 7 and 13, and also between positions 8 and 13. If no
voltage is present, replace the controller.
10. Test that there is no voltage between positions 9 and 13. If voltage is present, replace controller.
11. Remove spacer from door switch so that the switch will be in the open position.
12. Test that there is no voltage between positions 7 and 13, and no voltage between positions 8 and
13. If voltage is present, replace the controller.
13. Test that there is no voltage between positions 9 and 13. If voltage is present, replace the
controller.
14. Disconnect power, add a jumper wire between positions 2 and 12 on the controller, then reconnect
the power. The unit should still be turned on. Wait six minutes.
15. Test that there is no voltage between positions 7 and 13. If voltage is present, replace controller.
16. Remove all jumpers, reconnect all wires, and re-test unit.
