USING YOUR RANGE
ADJUSTING OVEN TEMPERATURE CONTROL (CONT.)

NOTE: Do not attempt to light the oven during a
power failure. See “Range Safety” for more
information.
1. Place the rack where you need it and close door.
See the “Broiling chart” later in this section for
recommended rack positions.
2. Preheat broiler for 5 minutes before using.
3. Choose the BROIL setting.
The preset broiling temperature is 500°F (260°C).
How to determine the amount of
adjustment needed
The following chart tells you how much to adjust the
offset temperature to get the desired cooking
results. You can determine cooking results by
amount of browning, moistness, and rising times for
baked foods.
