Combination cooking
Combination cooking alternates convection hot air cooking with microwave energy cooking.
This type of cooking is generally used for roasts and large cuts of meats. Refer to CONVECTION
MICRO MENUS” Cookbook for suggested recipes and times,
Using ROAST TIME/COMBO
The ROAST TIME/COMBO cycle can be programmed up to 199 minutes, 99 seconds of combination
cooking time. This cycle will cook at 350°F unless another cooking temperature has been selected. Once
the cooking temperature has been reached, the oven maintains that temperature while it adds a 10%
or selected microwave Cook Power. ROAST TIME/COMBO can be used with AUTO START, QUICK DEFROST
and KEEP WARM. When using the Temperature Probe in ROAST TIME/COMBO, the PROBE TEMP replaces the
cooking time. NOTE: It is easier to use AUTO TEMPlCOMBO when cooking with the temperature probe.
See page 32. The microwave Cook Cycle may be set to either precede or follow ROAST TIME/COMBO, if
desired.
The oven does not automatically preheat in this cycle. If preheat is desired, touch ROAST TIME/COMBO
twice, the desired cooking time, then START. The oven will preheat to set temperature and hold for up
to 30 minutes. Place food in the oven and touch START.
