USING YOUR RANGE
THE OVEN VENT
wWARNING
Fire Hazard
Use pot holders to move utensils left on the
left rear surface unit.
Keep flammable materials away from the
oven vent.
Failure to follow these precautions can
result in death, fire, or burns.
Hot air and moisture escape from the oven through
a vent under the left rear surface unit. You can
cook on this unit or keep food warm on it while the
oven is on. The vent is needed for air circulation.
Do not block the vent by using extra large pans
or covers. You will get poor baking/roasting results.
NOTE: Never leave plastic utensils over the vent.
They could melt.
THE ANTI-TIP BRACKET
The range will not tip during normal use. However, the range can tip if you apply too much force or weight
to the open door without the anti-tip bracket fastened down properly.
wWARNING
Tip Over Hazard
Connect anti-tip bracket to the range feet.
Reconnect anti-tip bracket, if the range is moved.
Do not push down on the open oven door.
Follow the Installation Instructions.
Do not let children climb onto the oven door.
Failure to follow the above can result in death, burns, or other injury.
To make sure the anti-tip bracket is fastened
into place:
Remove the storage drawer (see “The storage
drawer” on page 18).
Look under the range (you may need a flashlight).
Check that a leveling leg is positioned under
the bracket.
See the Installation Instructions for further details.
