GFI FAXmaker for Exchange/SMTP Manual The SMS gateway • 137
template via SMTP. This template allows you to configure how the
SMS message is forwarded via e-mail to your SMS service provider.
Basically you can control how the message and number will be
inserted into the body of the mail, and through which SMTP server
and to which email address the email has to be sent.
Screenshot 132 - Configuring an SMS service provider
The following options have to be configured:
SMTP server: Specify either your own mail server, or the mail server
of the service provider
SMTP port: Specify the port number
From: Specify what the from address should be
To: Specify to which email address it should be sent. You can specify
the [smsnumber] in the email address, for example
[smsnumber]@yourprovider.com
CC: Specify if you want a copy of the message sent to another email
address. Leave empty if you don’t want a CC to be sent.
Subject: This allows you to specify a subject. You can include the
number variable if you want [smsnumber]
Body line 1 - X: In each of the message body lines you can specify 2
variables: [smsnumber] and [smstext]. The [smsnumber] variable will
be replaced by the recipient mobile number and the [smstext] variable
will be replaced by the sms text to be sent.
In the preconfigured example, the number is sent via the subject, and
the body contains a number of lines including the message, the
credentials etc. You will have to check with your SMS service provider
