1. To verif

2. Turn off the

as at the manual shut-off valve or
at the main

as suppl

tank.
3. The flame will

o out and within 3 minutes the
flame safet
y
device will automaticall
y
close
(
an
audible click will be heard as this device closes
)
.
4. Turn the
g
as on at the manual shut-off valve.
5. Attempt to li
g
ht the burner b
y
placin
g
the mode
selection button to the
g
as mode.
Do not push in
the safety valve.
6. Without holdin
g
the safet
y
valve in, the burner
flame will not re-li
g
ht. This indicates the flame
failure safet
y
device is functionin
g
.
Description of Controls
(A) Safety Valve
The safet
y
valve is desi
g
ned so that an
y
loss of
flame will stop the
g
as flow to the burner. It is con-
trolled b
y
means of a thermocouple that is positioned
in the flame. As lon
g
as a flame is detected b
y
the
thermocouple, the valve will remain open. Upon
flame failure, the valve closes, shuttin
g
off the
g
as
flow to the burner. Durin
g
the
g
as i
g
nition process,
the safet
y
valve button must be held in until a flame
is established at the burner.
(B) Thermostat
The thermostat on the Norcold refri
g
erator controls
both the
g
as and AC electric operations,
thereby elimi-
nating the necessity of resetting each time a different
power source is selected
. Rotate the thermostat knob
clockwise to make the refri
g
erator cabinet colder.
(C) 120 Volts AC Operation
Pressin

selects the AC mode of operation.
When the AC mode is selected and AC volta
g
e is
supplied to the refri
g
erator, the refri
g
erator will operate
on 120 volts AC.
(D) 12 Volts DC Operation

selects the DC mode of operation.
When DC is selected and DC is available to the refri
g
-
erator, the refri
g
erator will operate at full coolin
g
power.
The DC operation is a continuous run
(
no thermostat
control
)
mode.
(E) Gas Operation

selects the Gas mode of opera-
tion. The refri

uipped with electronic i

ni-
tion. When the

as mode is selected, the electronic

nition is ener

ized and sparkin

enerated at the

tinue until a flame is present at the burner. When a
