Operation
1. Connect air hose (C) to main air supply if equipped.
2. Connect electrical connectors (D) to connector from
fluid manifold (M) or accessory control box. See ,
page 16. Connect hose cable (F) to cable from pro-
portioner fluid manifold (M) or accessory control
box. Connect signal cable (24) to connector behind
the proportioner fluid manifold (M).Wrap connec-
tions with electrical tape.
Do not operate a coiled hose. A coiled hose creates
uneven heat buildup which can result in hose rupture
and cause serious injury, including fluid injection.
Maximum hose operating temperature is 180°F
(82°C). If using hose without an FTS, measure hose
temperature to ensure it does not exceed 180°F
(82°C).
Hose must be properly supported to avoid excessive
strain due to weight, bending, or sharp edges.
Fluids subjected to heat in confined spaces, including
hoses, can create a rapid rise in pressure due to the
thermal expansion. Over-pressurization can result in
equipment rupture and serious injury.
• Open a valve to relieve the fluid expansion during
heating.
• Replace hoses proactively at regular intervals
based on your operating conditions.
