TROUBLESHOOTING
6801 MEAT SAW
SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Circuit breaker tripping when start
switch is pulled.
1. 1CON malfunction.
2. Mechanical bind.
3. Motor shorted.
4. Motor starting circuit (1 phase) (start switch, capactor or start
windings) open.
Saw won’t start.
1. No power to the saw. (Fuses, tripped circuit breaker, etc.)
2. Overheated motor. All for reset.
3. Start switch malfunction.
4. Mechanical bind.
Noisy motor/transmission
1. Motor pinion (try reversing).
2. Large gear in transmission.
3. Combination of 1 & 2.
Saw starts when start switch is pulled,
but stops when switch is released.
1. Start switch malfunction.
Motor hums.
1. Motor single phasing (3 phase unit)
A. Check that all 3 legs of 3 phase power are present at
terminals T1-T2-T3 on 1CON when 1CON is
energized.
B. Motor shorted.
2. Motor starting circuit not receiving power (single phase).
A. Check for line voltage between T1-T2 and T1-T3
on 1CON when 1Con is energized.
B. Motor shorted
3. Mechanical bind.
