Repairs to electrical appliances

person in strict accordance with
current local and national safety
regulations. Repairs and other work
by unqualified persons could be
dangerous. The manufacturer
cannot be held liable for
unauthorised work.
Various messages will appear in the
display to warn of certain problems.
Follow the instructions which appear in
the display to remedy the problem.
Other problems or situations which
occur in general use are described in
this section. With the help of the
following notes minor faults in the
performance of the machine, some of
which may result from incorrect
operation, can be put right without
contacting the Service Department.
What to do if...
. . . the machine does not light up
after it has been switched on.
Has the lighting been switched off?

If is has, switch it back on (see
"Settings: customising your machine -
Setting the lighting").

If not, then the lighting is defective.
Call the Miele Service Department.
. . . nothing appears in the display.
The machine is not connected to the
electricity supply.

Is the master switch in the 0 position?
^
Is it plugged in and switched on at
the socket?
^
Check that the fuse is not defective
and that the mains fuse has not
tripped. If it has, contact the Miele
Service Department.
. . . the machine suddenly switches
itself off.
The machine will switch itself off
automatically after a certain length of
time if it is not being used. This time
depends on the switch off time which
has been programmed.
The water temperature could be too
high. The machine will remain switched
off until the water has cooled down
sufficiently.

Is it plugged in and switched on at
the socket?
. . . the lighting suddenly switches
itself off.
If the machine has not been used for 15
minutes the lighting will switch itself off
automatically. (See "Settings:
customising your machine - Setting the
lighting").
