If the H eat Treatment Cycle fails, the screen will
display a failure message and return the freezer to
the STANDBY mode.
Always comply with local guidelines for the
maximum number of days allowed between brush
clean cycles. (See the Manager’s Menu for setting
the Brush Clean interval.)
Freezer Locks
There a re two types of freezer lock conditions that
can occur: Hard Lock or Soft Lock. A Hard Lock
requires the machine be disassembled and brush
cleaned. A Soft Lock can be corrected by either
disassembling and brush cleaning the m achine, or
by starting another heat treatment cycle.
Hardlock
There a re two causes of a har d lock failure. The
freezer will har dlock if e ither the Brush Clean Timer
has elapsed or if a Thermistor Failure (Freezing
Cylinder or Hopper) occurred during a Heat cycle.

Touching the SEL symbol will dis play the following
screen.

2. The following screen will dis play if there has
been a thermistor failure (freezing cylinder or
hopper) during the heat treatment process.

Touching the SEL symbol will indic ate which
thermistor caused the H ard Loc k.
HOPPER THERM BAD
FREEZER LOCKED
If the machine has hard l ocked and an attempt is
made to enter AUTO, the machine will enter the
STANDBY mode and display the following message.
FREEZER LOCKED
To restore the message that identified the reason for
the hard lock, turn the power s witch OFF for five
seconds and then return the power switch to the ON
position. The original m essage with the r eason for
the Hard Lock will be displayed.
The FREEZER LOCKED message will remain on
the display until the b rush clean requirements are
fulfilled. The freezer must be disassembled i n order
to activate the five minute timer on the display
screen. Once the timer counts down to zero, the
lockout is cleared.
Soft Lock
If a heat treatment cycle has not been initiated within
the last 24 hours, a soft lock failure will occur. A soft
lock allows the operator to correct the cause of the
soft lock. The operator has the option o f e ither
starting another heat cycle or brush cleaning the
machine. When a soft lock occurs, the machine will
go into the S TANDBY mode. The following message
is displayed on the screen. The reason for the soft
lock is indicated on the second line.

BRUSH CLEAN
If the reason for the s oft lock has been corrected,
selecting HEAT CYCLE initiates a Heat Cycle
immediately. Selecting BRUSH CLEAN when the
previous message is displayed will har d lock the
machine and brush c leaning will be necessary.
