General Tips for Upper and Lower Oven
PREHEATING THE OVEN
Place oven racksin desired position before heating the oven.
, Preheat the oven when using the BAKE, CONVECTION,
ROAST and CONVECTION BAKE modes.
, Preheat is not used for BROIL and CONVECTION BROIL
modes.
Mow oven to preheat while preparing recipe ingredients or ,
fooditem.
Setting a highertemperature does notshorten preheat time.
Duringpreheat, theselectedcooking temperature isdisplayed ,
and alternates with a display of the actual oventemperature.
, The oven beeps once when it is preheated and the selected
cooking temperature is displayed.
, Once oven is preheated, placefood inthe oven as quickly as
possible to minimize the loss of heat and reduction of oven
temperature.

CONDENSATION / "TEMPERATURE
SENSOR
It isnormal for a certain amount of moistureto evaporate from
thefood during anycooking process. The amount depends on
the moisturecontent ofthefood. The moisture maycondense
on any surface coolerthan the inside of the oven, such as the
control panel.

sensorthataccuratelymaintainsthetemperatureselected.Your
previousovenmayhavehada mechanicalthermostatthatdrifted
graduallyovertimetoa highertemperature_If youhaveadjusted
yourfavorite recipe for usewith your previous oven, you may
haveto adjust the time or temperature inyour newoven.
Glass baking dishes absorb heat; therefore, reduce oven
temperature25°F when baking in glass.
, Use pans that give the desired browning. For tender, light
goldenbrowncrusts,uselight,anodized orshiny metalutensils.
, Dark, rough or dull pans (nonstick or anodized) will absorb
heatandresultina browner,crispercrust. Somemanufacturers
recommend reducing the temperature 25° Fwhen using this
