GAS BURNERS (Semi-rapid)
Gas ow to the burners is adjusted by turning the dials (illustrated in g. 2.1) which con-
trol the valves.
Turning the dial so that the symbols printed on the dial point to the mark on the bezel
achieves the following functions:

rate
The maximum aperture position permits rapid boiling of liquids, whereas the minimum
aperture position allows simmer warming of food or maintaining boiling conditions of
liquids.
To reduce the gas ow to minimum, rotate the dial further counter-clockwise to point the
indicator towards the
LO position (minimum rate).
Other intermediate operating adjustments can be achieved by positioning the indicator
between the maximum and minimum aperture positions, and never between the maxi-
mum aperture and
OFF position.
N.B. When the range is not being used, set the gas dials to their OFF
positions and also close the gas shut-off valve placed on the main gas
supply line.
